We were thrilled that The Newstead Singers led by their conductor Lesley Cooper decided to donate the proceeds from their summer concert towards our work with children and families in Bromley.
The varied and lively programme had music for everyone including a warm-up song with audience participation to pieces from Telemann, Vivaldi, Rutter and Lloyd Webber. We were treated to wonderful saxophone performance by the talented Alfie Beston who plays lead saxophone for the National Youth Jazz orchestra and is studying for his ARCO Organ Diploma. The Mayor & Mayoress of Bromley also attended the concert.
An uplifting and beautiful evening of music was enjoyed by everyone and over £800 was raised towards our work.
The Newstead Singers’ Christmas Concert will be held on Wednesday 18 December.
