Katie Toal our Head of Practice led a safeguarding refresher training for staff on 17 July.
The training focussed on responding to a disclosure from a child, tools to enable a child to talk, role playing typical situations Welcare practitioners encounter during their work and the key elements to include in a safety plan.
The training provided an opportunity to discuss our new Safeguarding Policy and for staff to enjoy time together sharing their experiences. Thank you Katie, Barbara and Catharine for all your hard work to arrange and prepare for such a thought provoking afternoon.
