Welcare Family Centre, Redhill, is one of four Family Centres working in partnership covering the borough of Reigate and Banstead to support the most vulnerable families with children aged 0-11 and promote their upbringing. We work closely with our partner providers – East Surrey YMCA, Epsom Downs Primary School and Furzefield Primary (Red Oak) across the area of Reigate and Banstead to meet the needs of local families. To view the different groups and services on offer at the different centres see RB FC Summer Term 2022 OFFER
This is a service commissioned by Surrey County Council and replaces the previous children’s centres. The Family Centre offers one to one family support work and parenting programmes to families identified as being in greatest need of support. This represents a change to the service, which was previously universal and open to all, but will ensure that those facing challenges in their family life have access to the right support at the right time.
Universal services provided by the health team, such as Child Health Drop-In Clinics, take place in the centre. In addition there are a range of targeted services, for example the peri-natal mental health service which supports expectant and new mothers with moderate to severe mental health problems, offering appointments in the centre.
Alongside the work of the Family Centre for the Redhill area, Welcare in East Surrey continues to offer charitably funded services for families living in East Surrey. These services are funded by support from local churches and the Netherby Trust.
