Bromley Ecumenical Singers have kindly chosen to donate the profits from their concert on 21st November to Welcare
On 6th, 7th and 8th August, innovative youth theatre and music group, YESOS, performed a beautiful production of Les Misérables at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill. YESOS chose to raise funds for Welcare in East Surrey with collections at their shows and at a fair beforehand, raising a fantastic £600 for vulnerable children and families in the area! Thank you so much to all involved at YESOS, The Harlequin Theater, and all those who attended the show and donated!
Our Welcare in East Surrey Centre had an OFSTED inspection at the end of May
The Welcare stall at the Richmond May Fair was a resounding success. We were able to raise awareness, funds and reestablish Welcare's presence in the community.
During the Easter holidays, Welcare in Bromley hosted a day of fun and games for the Welcare families. Fun was the recipe of the day as parents and children participated in a wide array of activities including board games, quizzes, and freshly made pizza.
We were delighted to be involved with the Brandenburg Choral Festival Spring Series. On 7th March 2015, a group of our friends and supporters attended a beautiful performance of Mozart's Requiem at St James's Church, Sussex Gardens in London. Welcare received 50% of the proceeds from each ticket we sold and also received the benefits of the collection on the night. A fantastic total of £312 was raised. Thank you to all that attended in support of Welcare and to all at Brandenburg for organising a fantastic event! We will be sure to let you know about the next one!
We are delighted to announce that Welcare has been commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to deliver Early Help Parenting Programmes for four years.
Over the Christmas season our local supporters were busy raising funds to help support our vulnerable families. We had not one, but two Christmas carol events organised by local Friends groups!
On 12th December four of our fantastic volunteers came in to our East Surrey centre and spent the morning wrapping over 100 presents for our service users this Christmas
We celebrated our 120th anniversary by holding a Service of Thanksgiving on 15th November.
In time for our 120th Anniversary we have launched a new website!
