In the run up to Christmas Welcare in East Surrey was blessed with 5 ladies from Aviva in Leatherhead taking a day out from work to volunteer with us. Not only were they delightful and fun to be with, they managed to paint all 4 walls of our upstairs office rooms which took it from a tired environment to a lovely fresh one. And that has given a real boost to our Family Support Workers.
The team’s boundless energy meant that they also were able to do some other really helpful tasks around the building and the children’ chairs and outside play area were looking sparkling after they had worked their magic.
