We are recruiting a volunteer minute taker to join the Welcare Greenwhich Friends.

 

We are an established charity working with vulnerable families and children up to the age of 13, in London and East Surrey. We strive to empower families and change lives for the better, offering practical and emotional support to overcome challenges which include poverty, isolation, mental health issues, domestic abuse and substance misuse. Our work with children addresses issues such as low self esteem, risky or challenging behaviour, social exclusion, absence from school, difficult transition to secondary school and experience of trauma including exposure to domestic abuse. Our services, based on Christian values, are open to those of all faiths and none.

 

Purpose of role:

to take notes and to provide administrative support.

Chair of Greenwhich Welcare Friends

What does the role involve?

A minute taker gives basic administrative support. The minute taker takes the notes of the Greenwhich Welcare Friends meetings and sends them to all members via email. Previous secretary is happy to assist initially.

Required commitment:

Meetings take place every 6 weeks at lunch time.

What does Greenwhich Welcare Friends do?

They organise and run fundraising events and projects to support the work of Welcare.
