Groups and workshops enable us to reach more families and provide a welcoming and supportive environment for those who come to use our services. Groups can also be an excellent way for families and children to share their experiences, as well as build up a local support network.
Mummy and Me
A series of play-based sessions for mums-to-be/parents and their pre-walking baby focusing on emotional wellbeing and bonding. Suitable for mums who are at risk of suffering, or who are suffering, from PND and/or mums who are isolated or struggling.
Happy Mums, Happy Tots
Follow-on session to ‘Mummy and Me’. Play sessions for mums who are suffering from anxiety, depression or social isolation, with their pre-school children: suitable for children who are walking independently up to, and including, 3 years.
A nurturing 4-week course supports mother and baby bonding and communication and is aimed at new mums who are suffering from anxiety, social isolation. Suitable for non mobile babies up to date with injections.
Every Child a Talker
A course of weekly play sessions focusing on communication and speech and language development, suitable for parent/carers of a child aged 2-5 years who has an identified language delay.
A play-based group supporting parents and their children who have English as an additional language. For parents and their child aged 1 – 4 who would like to learn strategies to support their child’s English Language development.
One Step at a Time
A weekly play and communication sessions for children under 5 with disabilities and/or additional needs and their parent/carer. Offers a supportive play environment. Child does not need to have formal diagnosis
First Aid for Parents
A single-session course aims to teach parents/carers the key basic skills to apply essential first aid to their little ones in an emergency situation. Non- mobile babies only.
A 4 or 10 week course which helps parents get the best out of family life and considers the emotional well-being of the parent as well as the needs of the child. Encourages parents to share experiences, understand their child’s behaviour and develop practical strategies.
An interactive programme for children aged between 8 and 13 who have been affected by domestic abuse. Up to 12 weekly sessions.
