Our wonderful volunteer Christina is pictured receiving a volunteer award from The Mayor of Reigate & Banstead Cllr Eddy Humphreys. We were pleased that Christina’s nomination in the Individual Volunteer (over 25 years old) category was supported by the deputy mayor Cllr Sue Sinden, also a long-term supporter of our work with children and families.
Christina has volunteered with us for just over 5 years with primary responsibility of handling food bag donations (sorting the donations/goods as they arrive, managing stock control in terms of best before dates, making up the final bags). It is an invaluable role and helps us provide practical support to over 100 families each year.
Christina is also the Parish Representative for St John’s Redhill and consistently engages members of the congregation with our work and in 2022 recruited her husband Mark to become a volunteer too!
