It had been 3 years in the making but it was well worth the wait! Last Friday our Rock Choir fundraiser took place at St Mary’s Church, Bromley, organised by Christina Clark.
The music was fantastic, uplifting and upbeat and the audience loved it, many of them singing along and dancing in their seats. The performance was enhanced by the beautiful signing by Sarah, making the performance more accessible to the deaf and disabled communities as part of The Hands that Rock initiative.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made it possible including the generous and enthusiastic audience, the amazingly talented Rock Choir and their wonderful choirmaster, Michael. Thank you to Revd Alan Keeler and the congregation of St Mary’s Church for letting us use such a beautiful venue.
We are delighted to have raised an amazing £1,400 but thanks to match funding from The Morrisons Foundation the grand total will be £2,800.
A special thanks and appreciation to Christina for all the organisation and hard work on the night and to the Friends of Welcare in Bromley for their support. We wouldn’t be able to do all that we do without your help and events like this enable us to make a difference to the lives of the parents and children we support.
