We are pleased to start the new year with the wonderful news that the Community Foundation for Surrey have awarded Welcare in East Surrey £5,000, which will enable us to deliver vital group work programmes throughout 2025. This funding will make a significant difference in the lives of families facing complex challenges.
The grant will support our ongoing group work programme to assist families who are experiencing social isolation, with a specific focus on the following groups:
- Families of children under the age of 5 who are socially isolated, providing crucial early support during a child’s formative years.
- Parents and children where English is an additional language, helping to bridge communication gaps and foster community connections.
- Children with an identified language or communication delay, offering tailored support to aid their development and integration.
- Parents who face challenges bonding with their baby, providing guidance and resources to strengthen these vital relationships.
- Parents of children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities, offering practical advice and a supportive community for those navigating unique parenting challenges.
