Networks that make a difference

We were delighted to have a full house at our recent Working Together With You presentation at our Welcare Family Centre in Redhill.

With representatives from Horley Lions, Surrey County Council, Migrant Help UK, the Alliance for Better Care, Mole Valley Family Center and Reigate and Banstead council to name a few.  It was also an honour to be joined by The Worshipful Mayor and Mayoress of Reigate and Banstead, Councillor Eddy Humphreys and Mrs Sarah Humphreys.

It began with a presentation on Welcare from our Centre Manager, Catharine Adjei, covering the different ways Welcare works with families and how to refer to us. Attendees were also invited to share their experiences and expertise and suggest ways we can all work together to help the families in our local community. The session finished with a brief tour of the building and the opportunity for attendees to talk to each other more informally.

One attendee said the afternoon “has provided great insight into the work of Welcare and has been very helpful”. Another said that she was new to role and although she has read Welcare’s literature and website it made such a difference to visit us in real life; “it has put it all in context and made it so much more memorable”.

As always the occasion provided a perfect opportunity for networking and working in partnership; “It is great to be working together and to see how everyone really does overlap. It is wonderful to share ideas and help families moving forward”.

Our next Working Together With You session takes place on Monday 4 March 2024 from 12.30 – 2pm. If you have any questions or would like to book a place, please call 01737 780 884 or email redhill@welcare.org
