Our work with children and families includes both emotional and practical support. We know that a holistic approach towards family’s struggles is the most successful in helping them to move forward in their lives and work towards a better future. At our East Surrey centre we offer some practical support services that can help families get back on their feet, become more independent and improve parents understanding of how they can impact upon their children’s future.
We have a range of good quality clothes for babies and young children, which parents are welcome to come and choose from during our opening hours 9.30am-4pm. When visiting you will be asked to sign in for statistical purposes only. All clothes have been kindly donated to us and are fully checked for quality. Should you wish to donate clothes please call the office on 01737 780884 to check we have space available.
We have a small food store at our East Surrey centre for families in the greatest need. Please contact our reception on 01737 780884 to book an appointment with a worker during Workers Surgery to arrange receiving items from the food store.
We run a number of cookery courses throughout the year, helping parents develop their skills in the kitchen to prepare healthy meals for their children and family to enjoy on a budget. Please see our current programme to find out when our next cookery course is next running.
We know how much of an impact financial struggles can have on all aspects of family life. Our workers can help you better plan your family’s budget, access debt advice and understand your benefits entitlement. To make an appointment to meet with a worker call us between 9.30am and 4pm on Monday to Friday on 01737 780 884.
We also host courses which help parents and carers identify their skills, experience and qualities to help make a start with, or improve, their CV and job prospects. Please see our current programme to find out when this course is next running.
